This moment of repose from the drag queen’s dressing room is from Janet’s Dreamscapes series, which was inspired by the confinement of the COVID-19 pandemic, when her artists’ collective had to move their live figure-drawing sessions to Zoom. Initially, that felt very limiting, but eventually, it opened the door to wild imagination. Janet found herself transporting the models outside the confines of the Zoom screen. They ended up in some interesting places.
